About Brian Grannemann Services

Brian Grannemann started this company in Hermann in 1998. It still works out of 124 E 10th St, handling heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing and appliance calls for the town and the country around it.

How the company started

Brian Grannemann opened the business on July 1, 1998, and incorporated it in June 2000, according to the Better Business Bureau's record. It has stayed in Hermann ever since, at 124 E 10th St.

We do not have a long origin story to sell you. We have a phone that rings when the heat goes out, an office with someone at the desk during business hours and a list of customers who keep calling back. Weber S. wrote on Google that they have had us out about half a dozen times.

What we work on

Heating and cooling are the center of the business. That covers furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini splits, ductwork and light commercial equipment.

Our Google profile also lists electrical, plumbing, appliances, sales and service, and new construction. Customers mention that range in their reviews. Rachel D. says they will rely on us "for any future issues with HVAC, water heater, and or plumbing issues." That breadth matters in a small town, where a job that starts with a furnace can end at the water heater or the panel.

Hermann is the reason the work looks the way it does

Hermann does not look like the suburbs, and neither do its mechanical systems. Thick brick walls, houses from before 1940, steep lots, river humidity and limestone bluffs all shape what gets installed and how.

The city runs its own gas and electric through Hermann Municipal Utilities, and out in the county, the answer changes farm by farm. Some homes are on propane. Some are all-electric. Some run a heat pump with a backup. That is why we ask what fuel you have and how old the equipment is before we talk about anything else.

How we like to work

Three things come up again and again in what customers write, and they are the things we try to hold to.

  • Show up. Stephanie H. says Brian "consistently shows up when promised." Jo M. wrote about an evening trip out during "one of the coldest days in decades."
  • Get it right. Stephanie H. also says the work gets done "correctly the first time." Rachel D. describes a water heater job where the extra part turned out to be needed, and says Brian held off on the labor charge until it was running.
  • Be straight with people. Weber S. calls us "fair and responsive." Donna M. says Brian is not "just out to get the money."

Not every review is glowing, and it should not read that way. You can read every review we have, including one from a customer who did not get a call back. That is the kind of thing we want to hear about.

Where we work

Most of our work is in Gasconade County and the towns around Hermann, including Owensville, Morrison, Rhineland, Berger and New Haven. The service areas page lists every place we cover, with real drive times from the office. The farther out you are, the more useful it is to call first.

Credentials and memberships

Missouri has no statewide HVAC contractor license, so ask any contractor, us included, what local registration applies and check it with the issuing office. We are listed in the Missouri 811 member directory. We are on the Better Business Bureau's site, which shows our business details. The BBB does not currently rate or accredit us, and we would rather say so than have you find it out later.

Call (209) 563-1270 with any question about how we work. Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.

Calling is fastest

Prefer to write it down?

Calling gets you an answer sooner, especially if the house is cold or hot right now. If it can wait, send the details and our office will get back to you during business hours.

What customers say on Google

4.7 on Google(15 reviews)
“During one of the coldest days in decades, and with fresh snow falling, Brian came out to our house this evening to repair our faulty furnace so we would have heat. He didn't hesitate to make the trip out. Cannot express how much we appreciate his efforts and care. I highly recommend his company for your HVAC needs. Thank you!”

“Hot water heater went out and Brian worked with us to help us find the correct replacement parts, and the repair process. He is knowledgeable, reliable and very responsive. He came out saw that we needed one more possible part and said he wouldn’t charge us labor until the water heater was up and running. We got the right parts he came out to install and had us up and running! We will definitely rely on him again for any future issues with HVAC, water heater, and or plumbing issues! It’s so nice to have hot water again!”
