Heating and Cooling in Belle, MO
Belle is a long way from our office, so we will say it plainly: 42 miles and about 49 minutes from Hermann. Please call first and confirm scheduling before you count on us for heating and cooling in Belle. For planned replacements, tune-ups and second opinions in this Maries County town, the drive can still make sense.

How far is Belle from Hermann, really?
Belle sits at the far end of our Hermann area. Highway 19 takes us south to Owensville, and Highway 28 carries on west through Bland, about 42 miles in all to the Highway 89 junction. That is why we ask you to phone (209) 563-1270 first: we would rather tell you the honest schedule than have you wait on a truck that cannot get there in time.
It works best for work you can plan. A furnace replacement, a fall tune-up or a second opinion on an expensive quote can wait for the right day. A no-heat night in January may not, so if a closer contractor can reach you sooner, call them.

Planned work that earns the drive to Maries County
These are the jobs we would suggest talking through for a Belle property:
- Furnace replacement: plenty of time to compare fuel, size and price, then set one install date around the drive. On a windy divide at 1,024 feet, a load calculation matters more than the old label.
- Propane furnace service: farms around Belle that heat from a tank need the regulator and orifices checked, ideally before the first delivery of the season. A problem found in September beats one found at the end of a 42 mile January drive.
- Heat pump installation: read our Missouri rebate guide first, because your supplier's name decides what is on offer, and we have not confirmed who serves Belle.
- AC replacement: book in the spring, well ahead of the summer rush and the hot stretch that finishes off a tired compressor. A spring install date also spares you a long summer wait.
- Air duct cleaning: ask whether you need it at all. Our guide on whether duct cleaning is worth it explains when it pays.
- Duct repair: railroad-era houses near the center of town often have ducts added after the fact, and sealing them may do more than a bigger furnace.

A filter change or a tripped breaker might be all a small problem needs, so check both before booking a 42 mile service call.

City Hall on 3rd Street and the Routes 28 and 89 junction
Belle's paperwork starts at City Hall, 200 3rd St, which keeps the same weekday 8 to 4 hours as our office. The city's forms page lists a commercial and residential building permit application, and a water and sewer application, and its Street and Water Department handles the water side. The site says nothing about electric or gas service, so read your own bill for the supplier.
Missouri leaves HVAC permits to local government. Outside the limits, the county depends on your parcel: most of Belle is in northeastern Maries County, but a portion sits in southeastern Osage County, so ask whichever one bills your property taxes. The mailing ZIP is 65013.
Heating and cooling on the Gasconade and Dry Fork divide
Belle stands on high ground at about 1,024 feet, with water draining northwest toward the Gasconade River and southeast toward the Dry Fork and the Meramec watershed. A town on a divide has little shelter from winter wind, so exposed homes lose heat quickly on a hard night. Sizing should reflect the house and its site, which is why we favor a Manual J load calculation over matching the old furnace's label.
This is a city of 1,381 people at the 2020 census, with 734 housing units counted in 2010. Incorporated in 1895, it served as a depot on the Rock Island railroad, so the older homes near the center of town tend to carry the concerns of any railroad-era house: ductwork added after the fact and insulation that varies from wall to wall. Ground was broken on a Rock Island Trail expansion in Belle by mid 2025, so a shop expecting more visitors should get its cooling checked before summer.

We have no Belle projects or reviews to point to, and we keep no shop in Maries County. What we offer is a straightforward quote before we start and a business record in Hermann going back to 1998. If you sit closer to us, see our Bland and Owensville pages, or the full list of areas we serve.

What customers say on Google
4.7 on Google(15 reviews)“During one of the coldest days in decades, and with fresh snow falling, Brian came out to our house this evening to repair our faulty furnace so we would have heat. He didn't hesitate to make the trip out. Cannot express how much we appreciate his efforts and care. I highly recommend his company for your HVAC needs. Thank you!”
“Hot water heater went out and Brian worked with us to help us find the correct replacement parts, and the repair process. He is knowledgeable, reliable and very responsive. He came out saw that we needed one more possible part and said he wouldn’t charge us labor until the water heater was up and running. We got the right parts he came out to install and had us up and running! We will definitely rely on him again for any future issues with HVAC, water heater, and or plumbing issues! It’s so nice to have hot water again!”

Belle heating and cooling questions
How far is Belle from your Hermann office?
It is 42 miles and about 49 minutes by road, down Highway 19 to Owensville and west on Highway 28 through Bland. Belle is at the far end of our Hermann area, not next door. Call first to confirm we can schedule you, and ask about timing before you plan around us.
Will you come to Belle for a no-heat call?
Call us and ask, because the answer depends on the day. The office runs weekdays, 8 AM to 4 PM, and we cannot promise a time from 42 miles out. If it is freezing and a closer contractor can reach you sooner, use them. Protect the pipes, and leave at once if you smell gas.
Are there heat pump rebates for a home in Belle?
It depends on the name on your electric bill. Ameren FastTrack PAYS reaches Ameren customers only and needs a participating contractor, so check Ameren's current chart. Rural electric cooperatives set their own programs, if they have any. The federal 25C credit ended for 2026 installs, and Missouri has no statewide heat pump rebate. Our rebate guide covers the details.
Do I need a City of Belle permit to replace my furnace?
Ask City Hall at 200 3rd St before work starts. The city lists a commercial and residential building permit form, but we have not confirmed whether a like-for-like furnace swap needs it. Outside the city limits, ask the county, which is usually Maries but can be Osage on the north side of town.
My Belle address is near the Osage County line. Does that matter?
It matters for paperwork more than for the HVAC work. Part of the city extends into southeastern Osage County, so a tax bill tells you which county applies. Permit questions outside city limits go to that county. The equipment, the drive from Hermann and the way we schedule stay the same.
